Gamma Pi, Missouri Valley College, Marshall, MO Gamma Pi Chapter at Missouri Valley College was founded on September 30, 1967. The chapter president is Lauren Major and the advisor is Sally Burger. They hold their chapter meetings on Monday nights. Alpha Sigma Alpha is one of only two sororities on the MVC campus. The other one is Theta Phi Alpha. The women of Gamma Pi Chapter enjoy trick or treating for canned goods as a philanthropic project. On Halloween night, the women go out in the community of Marshall and collect canned goods for a local food pantry. One of their favorite sisterhood activities is to go to the park and watch the stars, looking for certain constellations. They also host an 80s Skate Night as a recruitment activity. Their members come from all over the world, with one member coming from Ireland. Just this spring the ASA women won their Greek Week competition!
To raise money for the chapter, the Alpha Sigma Alpha
women have a car wash each year.
